Role Compass (rolecompass.ai) is operated by KrishnaJain Private Limited (CIN U62099TS2026PTC218045), Hyderabad, India. This policy explains, in plain language, what data we collect when you use Role Compass, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Questions any time: hello@rolecompass.ai.

What we collect

We keep collection minimal and tied to the product working for you:

• Account details — your name, email address, and sign-in credentials (passwords are handled by our authentication provider; we never see or store them in plain text).
• Country (optional) — if you tell us at signup, we store your country so we can understand where our users are. We do not use it to change the content you see. You can leave it blank, and change or remove it any time by emailing us.
• Usage analytics — first-party events such as pages viewed, roles explored, and features used, tied to a session identifier. This is our own analytics, on our own database.
• Payment records — payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details; we keep the invoice record (plan, amount, status) needed for billing and support.
• What you send us — messages through the contact form or by email, including feedback and role requests.

What we don't do

• No third-party advertising trackers or cross-site tracking pixels on the site.
• We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
• We do not send your analytics to ad networks — analytics stay first-party.

Why we use your data

• To provide the product: your saved roles, plan progress, and language preference.
• To improve it: understanding which pages and features actually help.
• For billing and support: matching payments to accounts and answering your emails.
• For security: detecting abuse, scraping, and fraudulent payment attempts.

Who processes it for us

We use a small set of service providers to run Role Compass: Supabase (database and authentication), Netlify (hosting and content delivery), and Razorpay (payment processing). Each processes data only to provide their service to us. Payment data is handled by Razorpay under their own security standards; it does not pass through our servers.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as your language. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. Old telemetry is deleted automatically on a schedule, and each window is a ceiling — we keep that data no longer than stated, and often delete it sooner: analytics events no longer than about 13 months, security and anti-abuse logs no longer than 90 days (anti-scraping fingerprints no longer than 6 months), and share events no longer than 12 months. Invoice records are retained as required by Indian tax and company law.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Email hello@rolecompass.ai from your account email and we will respond within 7 working days. Deleting your account removes your personal data, except invoice records we must keep by law.

International users

Role Compass is operated from India, and your data is processed by the service providers named above. Wherever in the world you use Role Compass, you have the same rights described under "Your rights" — we honour access, correction, export, and deletion requests for all users, regardless of region. Children

Role Compass is intended for users 18 years or older.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will appear on this page with a new effective date at the top. For anything privacy-related, write to hello@rolecompass.ai.
